An Unhealthy Fashion Trend Why are beautiful people smoking?

There’s something about fashion and smoking mixed together that I never understood. Why are such beautiful people smoking? In my opinion, smoking is rather nasty, and I have never and never will touch a cigarette.

If trends of the past three decades continue, 86% of American adults could be overweight by 2030 and 100% by 2048, a gov't-funded study says. Researchers concede that this outcome may be "genetically and physiologically" impossible. Still, they note that some American groups have serious weight problems: 78% of African-American women are overweight or obese.

The next day, the jury sentenced Hamdan to 5 1/2 years in prison — much less than the 30 years to life that the prosecution wanted.
